Alice in Wonderland is Wonderful
Alice in Wonderland is a 2010 fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton and starring the pretty Johnny Depp.
The book is one of my favorites and I have seen the play a few times. In fact, my sister is going to play the white rabbit in her school production of Alice in Wonderland this year.
The film changes things a bit I think. In the film, Alice is now 19 years old and accidentally returns to Underland, a place she previously visited 13 years ago. She is told that she is the only one that can slay the Jabberwocky, a dragon controlled by the Red Queen. Well, I could go on and on about the plot. But I won’t. You’ll have to go see it yourself.
By the way, see it in 3D. Really cool. When it is out on Netflix, rent it or buy it at Walmart.

Up…Up and Away!
Up!, I loved it. By the way, whose idea was it to name the movie that? so for those of you who have had your head burried in the sand, Up is about a guy named Carl Fredricksen who spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the world and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. “UP” takes you on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures.
OK. So as far as a kid is concerned. The dog’s are funny. I like how they talk. The old man is funny, he reminds me of this old guy at church that hands out the bulletin. The kid reminds me of my brother (he’s a big boyscout). So I could really relate to this movie. I like it as much as Surf’s Up! and The Incredibles!

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, huh?

At first I was confused by the name. It didn’t sould all that fun to me. Geez…I don’t like the rain very much so I didn’t know if I wanted to watch a movie with that theme. But it was at the Dollar theater and Mom and Dad wanted to take us so we went. Turned out to be pretty funny and pretty good.
I remember when I was in the first grade my teacher read this story to us at library time. Everyone in the class loved it and every time when it snowed for the next two winters I looked outside and every once in while I thought I saw mashed potatoes covering the ground. I didn’t see any meatballs.
Here’s what a reviewer on Rotten Tomatoes said, “It’s rare for a family film to deliver the goods with both story and visuals, but this insanely fun and fast-paced flick doesn’t skimp on either.” whatever.
Anyway, a pretty good story, not the best animation, but still fun to watch.
What did you think?

Ratatouille Rocks

I found another movie that really rocks, Ratatouille. We first saw it in Park City. We weren’t there for the Sundance film festival, but we did ski and go the movies.
Remy was my favorite character and he seemed to have great determination. Good example for kids like me. As soon as we can buy it, I’m having my Dad get Ratatouille for us.
Go French people!

Bee Movie Rocks

I saw the Bee movie and I loved it. My 3 year old brother loved it too. He can’t stop talking about it and wants it to be out on DVD right away.
I never knew how important bees are to our ecosystem. Without honey, we are doomed. Let’s all be nice to bees in the future.

I’m back and here to stay!!
Sorry everyone. It’s been a while since I blogged. I really wanted to have the best blog in the world and be the hottest new film critic, but to be honest, the 1st grade took be by storm.
But don’t worry, I’ve been watching plenty of movies and plan to critique all of them. I’m also learning to read and write, so pretty soon I won’t need my Dad’s help posting. Well, maybe he can still help. By the way, he’s starting his own blog. As he says, he’s giving onto all of the pressure as CEO of two successful companies, to have a corporate blog.
This weekend I’ll kick things off. See ya then!

Check out this Napoleon video that Microsoft made. I love it when Napoleon slaps Bill, who hasn’t wanted to do that! My Dad’s dream is to take down Bill Gates and rule the World.
